  1. My cleaning lady does the following:

    Every 6 months she:

Dusts hand rails, vases, blinds, and computer area.

    Every 2 weeks she:

    Sweeps the stairs

Steams hardwood floors and tile floors

    Vaccums the carpet

Cleans my dog's cage (I pay her extra for that)

    Dust TV's

    Cleans tub's

    Cleans toilet's

    Washes dirty dishes (if any)

Cleans the counter, stove, fridge, microwave, toaster oven

Empties all trashcans (I have her come the day we get trash pick-up)

Make's bed's (we wash the linens before she comes, and she makes the bed so perfectly)

That's about it. Although, I've caught her stealing my Red Bull's, cake slices, and 12 pk. of Gatorade, that's the only thing I don't like about her.

SHE CUT MY BIRTHDAY CAKE BEFORE THE BIRTHDAY PARTY!

  2. GENERAL cleaning is

toilet, tub, sink, counters and floors

vacuum, dust (not 10,000 nick naks)

mop, counters, (no dishes, fridge or oven) sink

dust, vacuum (you can make bed if want to)

    anything extra COSTS EXTRA

you can make a list of what you do. give to clients. and add your extras and the prices

  3. General House Cleaning normally will  include the following, but remember, you charge by the hour, so if a client wants additional services, then you add that into your quote:

Bathrooms:- Clean, dust  and sanitise the following:  Mirrors, tile, spot clean walls. Floors, tub & shower. Toilet bowl and outside and around toilet. Sink, cabinets. Waste baskets. Baseboards. Window sills. Any other customer requests previously agreed to.

Kitchen:- Clean, dust and sanitise the following:  Sink and all counters. Stove tops, drip pans, microwave inside and out. Clean  floors, spot clean walls where required. Wipe appliances, fridge, front of cabinets, hood, etc. Trash containers. Window sills. Any other customer requests previously agreed to.

Dining Room, Living Room, Family Room, Bedrooms, Office, etc.:

Dusting of all surfaces, pictures, etc. Vacuum (or mop) floors. Wipe TV screens, computer screens, counters, shelves, mirrors etc. Window sills. Sliding door window. Any other customer requests previously agreed to.

The following are done on a Periodic/Rotating basis based on time available:

Baseboards ( but try to get noticeable baseboards such as in bathrooms each time) Top's of  door/window frames.  Ceiling Fans.

    Other items by special request:

Inside of Oven or Fridge, Windows, Wall washing (other than spot cleaning), Lemon oiling of wood furniture or doors, baseboards, cabinets, etc. Any other special requests

  4. All are very good answers. Although I would refrain from air fresheners as some ppl are allergic.  I cleaned homes for 7 yrs and I also included dusting of light fixtures within reasonable height. Also helpful to wipe down door k***s and light switches. Pretty much whatever you would clean in your own home. Good luck with new business.

  5. Both above are correct, but keep in mind it is the little details that people notice.  Dry out all sinks, bathtubs, showers and shower doors--water spots are not attractive.  Shine up everything in the kitchen and bathroom--faucets, especially.  Make sure it smells clean.  You can use air deodorizers or something in your vacuum.  Use a feather duster to wipe knick knacks while dusting, and don't put them back exactly as they were--this way your client knows you were there.  Dust all light fixtures, dust along picture frames.  Make a list of what you do for everytime you come to clean, and then what you do on a monthly basis.  Let your client know that anything not routinely done will be extra.  Good Luck!!!  +++
