I have laminate flooring and I need to make the railings match. How do I do it?

I understand that building railings is very labor intensive and only the most skilled carpenters can do it. Can I order prefabricated units? Should I just stain them?

Yes, railings are for a finish carpenter only.  The materials are expensive, so you don't want to mess it up, and they use tools that the ordinary tool box doesn't have.

I'm assuming you already have a railing, it just doesn't match.  You can find stains to match any wood.

A painted handrail to match your door and trim wood paint color should look good, you don't have to match the floor, it just has to be appropriate for the decor.
