I have like 8000 viruses, i think.

Question

So I let my little brother take my laptop on his Paris trip....well, its acting really weird.My computer is out of whack right now.

can anyone please tell me about a FREE virus removers that i can download?

I prefer Avast Free. I feel it is easier to use and it finds a lot more than AVG Free. Avast Free also has a boot scan, a boot scan can find a lot more problems than just a regular scan when the computer is already started.

If it's infected really badly you will need to do a thorough cleaning of your system.

Here is what I suggest you do:

First do an ONLINE SCAN  - Kaspersky is the best one and works well..

just be patient - it takes a long time to download the virus definitions and do the scan...

Prior to doing an ONLINE SCAN it's a good idea to clean up all your temp files and internet history and cookies:

Use ATF Cleaner, Clean-up or Disk Cleanup to do this: (disk cleanup = program files> accessories> disk Cleanup)

After the ONLINE SCAN is complete download the following programs and do further scans:

(each different program cannot detect all the problems, it is wise to run several)
