  1. you could download it on the immigration website. Or simply just give them a ring.

  2. You will need to go to the nearest immigration office.

  3. Its not the same thing, http://www.immi.gov.au should have it, otherwise contact your local Australian embassy

  4. go to the Immigration web-site, on the left hand side of the site is a sub heading called "Visas and Immigration". This should give you all the info you need plus application forms to download.

  5. If you have lived here illegally for most of that time and came over on a visitor visa you may get in some trouble and get shipped back to your country and not be allowed back to oz for another 3 years. To become a permanent resident you do need to qualify either by job or marriage and have a fair bit of money to pay the lawyer if you are illegally here, as your application won't go through if you don't have their help. It's a long process and my husband had to go through it. You definitly need help if you are here illegaly, if not just make sure to fill out all the forms (as there are a few, depending on exactly which way you become a perm. resident) and they have to be right and every question answered. if not they just send back the application with a huge DENIED stamed on it and then you must get lawyers to fight it for you, that's if your still here legally and immigration hasn't told you to leave the country. It's pretty tricky and can't help you more with the limited info.

  6. have you been in Australia legally?

if not you have no chance of getting PR
