I have looked at answers re: authenticity of items sold on bidz.com. but have not seen reply I'm looking for.

Question

Has anyone taken an item they bought on bidz.com to jeweler to verify that the jewels and gems are authentic and that it's actual white gold or gold settings. I bought something that stated compare at $1800 for $128...how can they do that if it is real? Anybody have their stuff appraised?? Thanks.

From what I hear, it can't be trusted.
