I have lost channels from my dvd recorder with freeview

i have lost itv1,channel4 and 5,i have done auto setup restart and done a scan but still i cant get these channels back,its not the ariel that's the problem because we receive signal from our sky dish,any suggestions? Thanks

You say you have done auto set up retune of freeview channels but still loose some stations!

How does the dvd recorder pick up freeview via your sky dish i thought freeview was from your aerial not a dish.

One thought, we have a dvd recorder/freeview + lcd tv freeview i made up aerial lead from coax wall socket to dvd there must have been a short/weak signal in the lead, some stations were ok some stations no signal.

Went to diy shop purchased a factory made coax lead reconnected signal was ok, all tv stations were working.
