  2. Sorry but Holly is totally incorrect. MOT's are now held on a central database by VOSA called MOT Comp. Every garage that can carry out MOT's is linked to this database and so can access a vehicles MOT details even if they didn't test it. You'll need to provide the garage with some info however. You need to get hold of your V5C registration document and you need to get, from the front cover, the document reference number (it's about half way down the page). Go to this website:

    http://www.motinfo.gov.uk/jsp/ECSID-Inte...

    and put that number in along with your reg and it will bring up the details of the last MOT. Make a note of the MOT test number and then you can give this number to any MOT test station who can print you a copy. Or, if you have problems, call VOSA on 0870 60 60 440 and they can give you the details and post you a cert if necessary.
