I have lost my permit; I know I can get a new one. But will I have to wait in the long line again?

Only if you choose to go on those days when a lot of people are waiting to be served, like Monday or Friday, and especially if you go on the last or first of the month.  Pick a Wednesday morning in the middle of the month and it shouldn't be too crowded.

usually not there is a line just for lic.s and permits. You'll have to fill out a form.

well i live in sf CA..and im pretty sure if u do lose ur permit u have 2 go back 2 dmv and get a new 1. althought make an appointment so you dont have 2 wait in the long lines..good luck and i hope you dont have 2 pay a fine
