It used to work but now says "Another wireless network utility is communicating with the Intel PRO wireless adaptor" Does anyone know how I can fix this?

  1. It means that you have more than 1 connection manager fighting for control. At the moment you probably have the intel pro wireless connection manager, the bt connection manager and windows WZC all enabled. You need to decide which one you want to use. Intel would be best to try first, if you have problems with it then you can always switch to one of the others

To disable bt connection manager: start > run > type in: services.msc find the 'wireless adapter configurator' and disable.

To diasble Windows WZC: find the service 'wireless zero configuration' and disable

Then go to the Intel PROSet/Wireless icon in your taskbar and select "Use Intel PROSet/Wireless to manage WI-FI'

ps: You may need to restart the computer for changes to take effect

  2. unplug everything n try again

  3. turn power off.

    reinstall with a password.

find out which neighbour is using your network.

Or for preference go back to a solid link.

  4. r/click the icon on the task-bar..click diagnose and repair

  5. Right click on the network icon on the taskbar > connect to a network > highlight bt > connect > enter the wep key

Dont highlight the other wireless network it found, its probably your neighbors router
