I want to know any ways to get the best conditioned picture as possible! Considering preventing acne or any photo effect that my picture taker can do to not make it appear as much.

My condition, its all over my face and its red. Ive tried many products such as proactive, benzoil peroxide gel, antibiotic pills.

Any Photo professionals help me!!!

Whether its light effect that my yearbook picture taker can do, or anything that I can tell him to do.

  1. The reason your pictures are this early is because many yearbook publishers want their senior sections submitted by October - December and the yearbook staff has a lot to do with them before submission, so please don't hesitate. Your photographer should have retouching available. While your proofs would not be retouched, any finished product should be. Call the studio and ask if they provide retouching.

  2. Touching up light or medium acne is going to be fairly straightforward, but for major acne like you say you have, that might not be something that's realistically fixable in post-processing, at least enough to make you happy.

My advice would be to minimize the amount of post-processing (Photoshop work) necessary by finding a make-up artist who can accompany you to the photo shoot to get your skin as nice as possible. That, along with some Photoshop work, means you're attacking the problem on two fronts - before and after - and increasing your chances for a great photo. You can clean up immediately afterwards, and nobody will be any the wiser. Heck, they do it in Hollywood every day!

    I wish ya well

  3. Even though most photographers schedule senior portraits very early in the school year, they are still available throughout the rest of the year.  You really don't need your pictures to the end of the year anyway (for when you send them out in graduation invitations) and pictures can be submitted all the way to the end of March to be eligible for the yearbook.  So, you don't have to get your senior pics taken right now... just reschedule.  If you don't want to tell the photographer why you need to reschedule (i.e., you are waiting for your acne to clear up), tell him you will be getting your braces off in January or whatever month and your mom demands that your pics not be taken until then... tell the photographer that you and your family will buy a pricier package of pics if you can wait.  Trust me, the magic words are "spend more money on pics if I can reschedule for later on in the year."   I had a similar problem at the start of my senior year and all I did was reschedule my portrait sitting to later on in the year, which, by then the problem had cleared up.  I was very satisfied with my decision because it gave me more time to correct the problem and made me much more comfortable taking the pictures.  Anyway, good-luck, and remember, the key to taking a great picture is confidence.

  4. This may sound crazy but it works.  Preparation H!  My 17 year old daughter had the same problem 2 days before prom.  The pimples were red and swollen, the ointment reduced the swelling, which reduced the redness as well.  Do clean your face, in the morning and evening, with a more gentle cleanser. Too much will result in drying out your skin which will cause your skin to produce more oil. Good Luck!

  5. Have you tried toothpaste on the zit?  Seriously.  It works.

But since your deadline is so close, I would definitely ask the studio to do retouching on the face.  It may cost alittle more, but your problem won't be a problem anymore.

    Good luck!
