  1. Your Problem sounds like you have a problem along side of L4, L5, and Sacro.     Your best chance is to go to see a Chiropractor who is familiar with Muscles and Tendons along side of the Spinal Column, or a Shiatsu therapist who is familiar with the Spinal Column.

  2. you need to find another doctor, you shouldnt have to  deal with so much pain. You need to find a doctor that deals in pain....my friend had same surgery, she now is on anti inflamitory meds, goes to Phys Therapy or swims every other day, and is on 2 different pain pills. A stronger pain pill, for during the day, and a weaker one at night. She has pain, but can now deal with it   good luck

  3. im sorry but i cat help u Y!A IS NOT DOCTORS

  4. You might want to start with maybe getting another opinion from another doctor or a pain management center. I think a PM center would be your best bet as they have, usually, several doctors that specialize in pain management. Including Neurologist, Orthopedist(that do back surgery), Anesthesiologist, PT, and other options that might offer some relief from your pain.

I do understand what you are going thru. I had L5-S1 surgery several years ago and not only has that level re-herniated, I also have others above that level that have also herniated. My left leg is numb from my knee down. I have severe leg cramps in my lower left leg & foot almost every night. I have very little, very very little movement of my left foot because of this.

Check in your area for a pain management center..and good luck.

  5. Try to transfer to another doctor for a second opinion.  I don't know what else to say.  I know how awful it must be and there should be someone out there who can help you.  I know this will sound silly but I am not joking.  For the cramps, put a bar of soap, any kind in your bed at night near the area that you are cramping.  During the night you will rub against this bar of soap and I guarantee you the cramps will not occur.  I know it is silly but it worked for me.  What the h**l you don't have to tell anyone about it just give it a try.  If the bar of soap keeps falling off the bed put it in under the bed sheet, it should stay put for the entire night.  I personally use zest.  The brand of soap does not matter.  I don't know why it works but it does. Its worth a try.

  6. The cramps would be helped by magnesium tablets. The numbness can be the result of your surgery, nerves being pressed on. There is a back pain book with exercises available from the Natural Health Society, written by Sarah Key, the Back Sufferer's Bible. She gaves a number of very simple exercises that can help with your problem. It is a great book.
