I have managed to connect to my Sky Broadband using the cable but how do I now become wireless?

The post below is for a slightly different wireless issue but if you read it through it explains how to set up sky wireless.

If you are still struggling, post your question on their forum the mods on this forum are really good and will either post a tutorial or a video guide for you.

In some cases they will set it up for you at their end.

are you on vista? if so

remove the cable , goto start menu and connect to , will see the wireless option , click on and should find your wireless device , you will need your security encryption key , put this in password box and you should connect

your sec key can usually be found by typing in md5key in your computer search box and copyand paste the long number

depending on your equipment, your net gear router is wireless, if your l;aptop or desktop is wireless you need to swith on the wireless key, and search for wireless connections, find your and enter the security key which is on the back of your router and that should connect,

Attach a router to the sky modem, also your computer must have a wireless card installed.

You should be able to buya wireless router from most pc acessory shops or gadget shops like maplin go to a good price comparison site like www.idealo.co.uk and look up wireless routers

type it in and do it that way

You must setup a network connection on a wireless router if you have it already. Then you have the configure and setup a Wep or WPA key or Passphrase for protection.
