I have mcafee total protection,but my systemsguard protection keeps turning itself off.

Question

Also on my sign on screen it says firewall and antivirus software not detected! Why? I am on windows xp.My mcaffe screen says i am protected,but im not convinced.All help appreciated.

I'm having the same problem and Mcafee (Total Protection 2009) keeps telling me everything is working fine and ignoring the fact that it randomly shows inactive and a scan from rival company shows no firewall or virus protection on my computer (and tells me to install some).  Nothing Mcafee support does has helped.  I'm totally frustrated.
