I have misplaced my tax return papers. I am wondering if anyone knows of a website I can go to and get a copy?

  1. Did you file online? If so, you should be able to get a copy from the web site you used. If you had a tax preparer do the return, he or she should also have a copy. If not, the only way to get a copy is to pay the IRS $39 and they will send one to you. They can also provide a transcript of the return for free.

  3. You can call IRS and request a return transcript that will have everything on it that you turned in.  This is free.  If you would like a photocopy it will cost you $45.  If a professional preparer did your returns he should be able to produce a copy.
