I have moved into a newbuild and have little red beetles I think these are plaster beetles?

The property I have moved into has been up less than 6 months I have seen 5 of these little red beetles, lived there a month so its not hundreds not seen any for 4 days now but how long before they die off because I really dont like these things and I cant use pesticides because I have an 18 month old that drops his dummy and bottle everywhere, can anyone help me pleeeeeeeaaaaaaassssssseeeeee!

always post a pic for proper ID    more than likely an outside  beetle or plant bug  that has found their way in.  Depending on what it actually is may be just removing the host plant, which may not be so easy if the host plant is a 30 foot box elder tree next to the home
