Pesiticides are not out of the question, but with 2 kids and a dog, I would like to stick with a solution that is all-natural. Any suggestions?

  1. Boiling water isn't the answer, nor is borax or any other natural/organic measures. They are tough, and the only thing I've found to keep them under control is Amdro.  It dosen't take much and if you put it in the ant hole your kids and dog shouldn't bother with it. Supposedly it is hauled down to the queen and when she eats it then they lay low for a few weeks.  They'll come back about 50% of the time (my experience).  Good luck.

  2. Honor and cherish them, for they were your Mother in a previous lifetime.

  3. As the others have said, its very difficult to get rid of them but you can keep them in a certain area by feeding them in that area. I don't know what kind of ants you have but most will eat honey or a sugar syrup. I hope they are not fire ants. If they are you may want to change your mind about chemical repellents.

  4. boiling hot water

  5. There are no known antidotes to ants, they are to resillient to allow humans to do this. The population of ants is 100trillion times greater than the world population of humans.Their secret of success is that they stick together, we go it alone. which one of us is the more successful?
