I have my American cousins arriving on Monday night?

and they have requested a chili, what do Americans eat with their chili, I want to make it all special for them, thanks.

I agree with JJ 100% Do it the way you do it where you are from (I dont know where that is). That is much of the fun traveling and visiting friends and family if different regions or countries. A chance to taste your food is more fun and enjoyable than getting something i get at home when ever i want.Make it your way!

I eat it with corn bread.. or crackers.  

My sister eats corn bread with peanut butter on bread sandwiches.  

My boyfriend cooks macaroni noodles and mixes it with chili... chili mac.

Or you could serve it with corn chips.

Frito Pie- place corn chips in a bowl, top with chili, sour cream, and cheese.

Why not cook chili as we would eat it? They can have it the way they usually do in the States any time when they're home! To answer your question though, I suspect it depends what part of the states they are from - in the Deep South they would eat it with cornbread.

Do them a sunday roast and tell them if they are gonna pick and choose their food to stay at home

Chili tastes great with, salad, rice, french bread, cheese, ribs, any kind of barbeque are AWESOME  with CHili.

Well, i like mine with cheese and crackers.....just a tad bit spicy but not super-hot. But really everyone is different. I even know some people who make chili with Deer meat, i tasted it. It was ok but not something i would want regularly.

With LOTS of shredded cheddar cheese on the top, and a huge dollop of sour cream too!  And you have to have Saltine Crackers with it too!!!

Some people like to eat chili on plain white rice. I learned to do this in Texas.

Oh chili is wonderful with many things.

We usually serve them with hamburgers or something like grilled cheese quesodillas! We love to each chili with cheese, sour cream, and jalapenos!

Or nachos!

I agree with Jack, but i must say chilli and corn bread are perfect.  Do you know how to make chilli?  For you to call it "A" chilli, makes me wonder.  Where ever they are from google a receipe for that part of the world and make it like that, but I must say again, I agree with Jack, plus it made me LOL.

Chili with plain white rice is nice as is chili with taco's and a fresh tomato salsa salad.

Cornbread is a must with chili.  I always use a mix to make cornbread but if you want to make it from scratch there will be a recipe on the package when you buy the cornmeal.  

I also like to have cinnamon rolls as desert with chili.
