I have my administrator password, but my windows XP wont let me log in?

ok so i didn't lose my password, its just that my windows xp computer wont let me log in?? it tells me my password is wrong, but i wrote it down and its RIGHT!!! can anyone help me please!!! i have some important documents and like i said im only able to use my computer as a GUEST:[ ive tried many sites but none of them help, if someone can REALLY HELP ME... the correct help will be GREATLY appreciated!!! thnx

  1. If you can still log on to Windows XP if you forget your password administrator password then follow the step

    1] log on with your account go to start>run>type "cmd"

    2]after opning the command promot type"control userpasswords2"

    3] User account window will be come just click on the user account that you forgot the password,and then click Reset Password.

    4]Type a new password in both the New password and the Confirm new password boxes and, then click OK

               You should now be able to log on to Windows with the user account and the new password.    


  2. aint even read the question but do this, Start your PC up, keep hitting F8 and when a screen comes up use safe mode. Once its on go onto your account settings and delete your password. =]
