i dont know if it might be a little early to put the mollie in the hatchery. I wanted to know what I have to do to put the least amount of stress on the mollie to help it give birth, and how often should i change the water, and how much?

  1. Mollies give birth approximately every 30 days, so it depends on when she last gave birth.

Is the hatchery a tank or a breeding trap?

If a mollie is moved when very pregnant, it can stress her enough to kill her and/or the babies.

  2. you should only keep your mollie in the breeder for 1-5 days but if you up the temp this will make her want to give birth if she is ready to give birth  plus other fish to mate ideal temp is 28-29 c 82 -83 F if she doesnt give birth within the 5 days release her back into the main aquarium for 24 hours then put her back into the hatchery trust me it helps this is what i do with all my pregnant fish and it helps and works
