I have my license, I haven't driven by myself yet, only with my dad. I am scared at the thought of driving by myself. I see my friends driving and they all seem to be enjoying them selfs. Is it normal to feel scared to drive by yourself or not?

  1. oh yea totally normal. you just freak is all. you should take the car out for a drive around your neighborhood so you can get use to the feeling of how it feels to drive by yourself and everyday take it further and further...thats what i did when i first started driving a standard car, and now i love it..

  2. of course it is girl! ur just scared becuz you dont feel safe if ur not with some1 you trust or some1 you know knows how to drive good......ur friends were prob. scared too.....just try driving around ur neighborhood by ur self then go out there in the big streets and drive dude!! you'll prob. start lovin drivin by urself too! duDe!

  3. ask yourself if its really you being scared of the start of your independence in this world now.

  4. Actually, it's not.

But, I was not exactly 'Happy' when I took my Drivers Test, and barely Passed to get my License. I actually cried when I made that Fatel Mistake, of not Waiting long enough at a Stop Sign. I though I had the right-away, and the other guy had the Stop Sign. But he actually had a Yield, and blew through it. I thought I was going to have to come back, and take the whole test over next month. But I was upset over it, and cried. They felt Stuck, and went ahead and Gave me my License. They told me to Drive with a Parent for a while.

That was almost 10 years ago.

It's OK to be Scared. First, Drive with your Friends. Just drive them from School, or something. Anywhere. This will get your Confidence up, so you can Drive by Yourself.

  5. Nope....never heard of that before. most people i know cant wait to get on the road.

  6. Yes it is normal. Get into it gradually. You'll be fine, but pay attention!!
