Whats the deal with being nervous, should I just image it is a normal driving lesson with another weird bloke next to me?

Yep, nothing to worry about.  Just be extra careful to use your blinkers for almost everything, and stop before the line and stuff, otherwise you get points taken off.  You'll do fine!  Good luck!
