i still have the peice of paper it came with and my passport.will they let me take my test or not?

I&#039;m guessing you lost your permit, and your getting your drivers license tomorrow?  I&#039;m not entirely sure what will happen, but you will probably still be able to get your license.  I lost my license about three years ago, and the DMV let me get a new one.

I also lost my permit/license when i was going to take my test. Just go 30-45mins early and they can print you up a new one and will let you take your test.

Strictly speaking, the examiner should not let you take the test without producing it as the counterpart licence doesn&#039;t have your photograph on it, so as far as the examiner is concerned, you could be fraudulently taking the test on behalf of someone else.

As it is now too late to do anything about it, I would still turn up for the test as planned, and appeal to the examiner. You may just get a lenient examiner who will accept the photograph in your passport as proof, but if not, you will unfortunately lose your test fee.

You will need to apply to the DVLA for a copy, which I believe they will charge you for.
