I am going on a date tomorrow for the first time in 4 and a half years. The last date I went on ended in a 4 years relationship! Hence, I am very very nervous.

Can you give me some top tips? I.e. what to wear (we're just meeting for a drink), whether to kiss him when we meet (I kissed him goodnight when we first met and decided to go out), whether i should try not to be too sarcastic (this is in my personality but some people dont like it.....)

and anything else you think might be helpful!

  1. You've met him before!

    You've kissed him goodnight!

If you're going on a "date" - which you are - the guy likes you!

Easier said than done, I know, but you got to relax and trust that he wants to see you as much as you do him - chat like you've know him for years.

And by the way... sarcasm is a sign of fine intellect, (never mind the old cliche or them that throw it around)

Good luck - you won't need it though - and for god's sake kiss the chap

  2. I know you don't want to hear this, but just be yourself!  Kiss him if you feel the mood is right!  Wear something that makes you feel s**y, but doesn't look 2 S****y!LOL

Don't be too serious, just relax and have fun!

  3. top tip - shave your clump.

  4. Wear some dark colored jeans and a light colored top...wear your hair differently from what he first saw it and wear earrings. Also just be yourself (sarcastic or not) just be who you are. If he doesn't like it then its his loss. Also remain calm this will not be your last date ever...

  5. just be yourself!! Dont change anything about your personality for this guy!!

Wear a nice pair of jeans and a nice top - something not too dressy - but make an effort all the same!

If you feel like kissing him on the cheek when you see him - go for it!!

    xx

  6. Don't try to be someone you're not.

Then a potential relationship is going to start off on the wrong foot.

Kissing is fine on first date.

  7. I love sarcasm, but you're not dating me LOL - Seriously, you shouldn't change who you naturally are. What good will it do you to tone down your sarcasm, go on 20 more dates and then all of a sudden you become this sarcastic little thing and take him by surprise? Be yourself.  Again, be yourself in how you dress too.  It's just drinks.  Worry about dressing up when your date is going to see a play or some such.

  8. just be yourself. kiss him when you first see him and ask him what hes been up to and take it from there

  9. BE UR SELFFFFFF!!!!!! DO NOT PUT ON A FRONT!!! JUST BE U AND GO WITH IT..TRY NOTT TO THINK OF THE FUTURE JUST THIS OF THE MOMENT!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN

  10. Be Yourself the whole time and relax.

Good Luck and have fun x

  11. Relax. If you have to try to hard it's not worth it. A lasting relationship should be easy right from the start, so if it isn't meant to be just walk away.

  12. Just be yourself bcz in the end that's all you can be!

Wear what you have that you know makes you look nice or buy a new top!

Nothing more than a kiss bcz you don't want2 look desperate! Let him talk some don't dominate the convo with questions or stories of you!

Don't mention the last relationship or that you havent dated in 4.5yrs but if you already have... just let it go & save that convo for your friends or if you and new guy enter a real relationship! Not alot to drink, just enough where you can keep your head together! And most of all have fun!!

    Good luck!!

  13. as the saying goes scarcasim is the lowest form of whit, but...

as you have already met he may know abit, but was that in company or by yourself ?? as we all act diffrently in crowds or by

ourselfs. Be you,  but go over board wether to kiss him depends on the situation. Good luck and best of British to you
