How and where do I put the filters to stop an incoming call interupting my internet connection

  1. The filters go immediately next to the jack of every phone jack in the house that gets used. Your phones then plug into the filters as if plugging into the jack and you will not notice a difference except for asthetics. You can then take calls and be online at the same time.


  2. Hi Brent F: I assume by your question that you have dialup internet access.You probably have call waiting. If so, in most USA Central Offices, to prevent the line from being opened on an incoming call wtg. call,you have to dial *70 before you dial your internet access number. This gives the caller a busy & prevents the line from being opened.This is how I viewed your question. If you had DSL, the filters are required on each phone to keep the digital noise out of the phones but in this case, callwtg. will not disconnect the internet.

  3. Just remember, there is no filter "inline" with the DSL Modem.

    Only put the filters inline with each telephone that connects to a telephone wall jack.
