Question:

I have my right,left, and Middle splits, and Im in dance. Please give me some stretches to do!

Im so close! I usually do them 2-3 minutes each, but thats not enough! Does anyone have better ones?

  2. Well, if you already have your splits then go for over splits, so your feet are elevated, it may sound sick but looks so cool!

    If you *almost* have them then just keep on stretching, but before you do you can do a few simple stretches to make the splits come faster.

    1. Get down on one knee as though proposing and then push your front knee forwards and you should feel a stretch through the front thigh of the back leg. If you don't feel a stretch then move your front foot forward a bit untill you feel it.

    NOTE: Be careful not to push your front knee past your foot, this is not good and can damage the knee.

    2. To open up your hips and make the splits easier then you can do this stretch. After finishing the first, stay in the same position and then sit back a bit, straightening the front leg. Point your toes towards the celing and lean forward until you feel a stretch through your calf.

  4. lay on the ground and put your butt against a wall and have your legs straight up so your body is making a 90 degree angle along with the wall. then split your legs and using your arms, bring your upper body to the wall, trying to get your head and chest to touch the wall.

  6. Just continue to do the stretches you do or did in class, because you are more familiar with them. You will get it, it will just take a while. Usually if you stretch once a night for 2 months, you will have them.

    while moving core towards wall

    try to be in splits completely against the wall hold 1 minute and get closer if need to otherwise hold longer

  9. I dance too, i don't really now the way to do that, but i was told, take a warm shower, than put on your warm-up suit, and do ur splits, and u will get down easier, and then it would be a permanent split...does this help??

  10. I love to dance and I have all my splits, some other good streches to do are, over splits- put your leg on an upper level( when your just learning try a mantle,or 2/3 books) and o in a split. Then when you do your split-leaps you will have a perfect split or an over-splited leap! Also check on some dance websites, like dance.net . and a few others good luck!
