I have my semi-formal in one month and I need to find a dress pronto. ?

It's extra hard though because I'm so short and a little round. I have brown hair and blue eyes and not the best legs. What kind of dress should I go for? (I live in Australia by the way)

hey im from aust too is it your yr 10 formal? Exciting! I am not the slimmest out there and i went for a knee length dress that came in under the bust and flowed out- covering up my tummy/bum/thighs. It was short enough to dance in and have fun all night but long enough for semi-formal! And you can never go wrong with a little black dress- its something that you can always wear again!

Id wear heels as weell- it will make you look and feel taller!

Lol, you sound built just like me!  I've got curves and a five foot zero inch body.  For me personally, I've always looked for things with an A-line shape (which means the bottom of the dress widens like an A if you aren't familiar with the term).  Also, because I'm short, I try to go for a strapless dress.  I've found that most formal dresses don't have straps or necklines that can be altered very cheaply, and since most straps are too long, strapless is the way to go!  Plus, if you get a longer dress, it hides the legs just fine and accentuates the curves, which is awesome.  And as for color, blue would look good with your eyes, but really, just pick what you like.  The best thing to do is just to go to a department store like Macy's or similisimilarust try on dresses until something catches your attention.  I also recommend not buying any dresses online unless you've seen and felt them in the shop.  I almost bought my first prom dress online because I fell in love with the picture, but when I checked it out at the store, it was hideous!

Um..cuz your short, shop in some real S****y kind of store that you probably normally wouldnt..theyre uber short things turn out like a decent length lol.
