  1. Look on the transom from behind the stern, and you will see a plate that has the serial number, model and manufacturer on it.

Don't you have a title? What did you use last year?

    Regards,

    Dan

  2. Hi Chuck!

Here's a website that'll allow you to search for your vessel's manufacturer:

    http://www.uscgboating.org/recalls/mic_d...

Just plug in the first three letters of your hull identification number into the MIC search line and you're in business!

    Hope this helps!

  3. The hull ID number, that's been required since 1972 begins with three letters, Like BLB- then other numbers for model and ending in the month and year.   The actual hull # is right after the model , in most cases.  Most Boat dealers could tell you which manufacturer built your boat.  P.S. the Coast Guard assigns the Builder three letter code.  I would think the local DNR would be able to figure out the MFG by looking at the number you have.

  4. Chuck, you are not giving us enough info buddy, is it a new purchase or are you renewing, and which state are you in?  There are a ton of variables, however if you do not have a title to your boat, which would of necessity name the manufacturer, you may be sol.
