iF YOU CAN PROVIDE FOR HER THEN SHE IS BETTER OFF WITH YOU THEN HER OWN PARENTS. I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE ASKING BUT I WOULD CHECK INTO GETTING LEGAL CUSTODY OF HER IF YOU CAN. DO YOU LOVE HER AND WANT HER IN YOUR LIFE? CAN YOU PROVIDE FOR HER AND OFFER HER A BETTER LIFE THAN A FOSTER HOME?

In this day and age, women with women and men with men, is the not uncommon.  It doesnt mean they are BAD people or cannot raise a child or children. why isnt the mother involved here?  Now the father he is in jail he committed a crime, you and the childs mother need to work out someting that is in the best interest of the child, unless of course the mother does not want to ,,,, then kudos to you for being there for that child you can make the difference.

Thank goodness she has you to stay with.  If you don't have it already make sure you obtain legal guardianship over her through your county's probate court department.  Even though you were/are married to the daddy that doesn't give you any legal rights.  You will need that to enroll her in school or in case she needs medical attention.

I WOULD GO TO HUMAN SERVICES AND START GETING A CK FROM THEM FOR THEM AND GET FOOD STAMPS,AND THEY WILL GIVE YOU MONEY TO BUY SCHOOL CLOTHS.PEACE
