  1. 1. Show up early at the airport.  If you aren't leaving the country, you probably need to show up an hour before your flight.  Show up two hours before the flight to ease your concern about being late.

    2.  Don't put any valuables in your luggage.  Only bring what you absolutely need.  And, you probably need alot less than you think.

    3.  Consider buying travel insurance (look on insuremytrip.com for a variety of travel insurance choices).  Having travel insurance can alleviate lots of your worries.  It will pay for your trip if you get sick, pay you for lost luggage, and much more.

    4. Remember, travel is fun.  Enjoy the trip!

  2. I have never lost my baggage on a plane. Get there early. Are you scared of the actual flying? I wouldn't say don't look out the window. I am scared of height, but planes are the safest travel...keep that in mind. Squeeze you neighbors hand if you get too scared...LOL Good luck!

  3. You don't have much control over baggage being lost, but if you give yourself plenty of time before flight time ( say 2 hours ) you won't miss your flight. Take some gum so your ears won't pop and dramamine or some other motion sickness med. if you suffer from motion sickness. Relax, it's a blast. Flying is way safer than riding in a car according to statistics. Hope this helps at least a little. Good Luck!
