  1. There is a hose connection located inside a little door somewhere on the side of the coach. Sometimes the door has a key  lock. Hook up a water hose and turn it on.

  2. Paul's right.  But on many rigs, before you turn the city water ON, you must (1) look for a valve that may allow you to switch between "tank fill" and city water (2) install an inline pressure regulator in case your city water pressure exceeds of 60 psi. (3) use only a white potable water hose and (4) find and open the tank vent if you're selecting "tank fill".

  3. Aside from the obvious convenience of using city water, there is  a drawback or two. The biggest problem is that the water in the tank becomes stagnant, and when you head out on a trip you have to deal with bad water.  One other is the more umbilical cords feeding the beast, you lose the feeling of freedom that an RV or boat can give.  We always kept to a 10 minute rule when we lived aboard.  We never wanted to have more than 10 minutes worth of cords or nick knacks to deal with between the time we decided to move on to engaging the transmission.  We were able to put 45000 miles on the boat in 4 years while meeting many so called cruisers who had so many cords, hoses, TV cables, satellite dishes, plants, ladders, laundry lines, strings of mini lanterns, memorabilia, figurines and collections of almost anything that they never left the dock. By the time they got sea capable they forgot where they were going.  Anyway,  when you hook up the hose, buy a good one so the water does not taste like an inner tube.
