Aleksandr Kerzhakov has assured the fans of helping his national side at the World Cup and has hailed Zenit St. Petersburg’s latest signings: Hulk and
Axel Witsel

Zenit St. Petersburg striker, Aleksandr Kerzhakov, has insisted that he does not have any necessary information about their group rivals, Northern Ireland, ahead of the upcoming World Cup qualifying match.

The Euro 2008 semi-finalists will host the Green and White Army at Stadion Lokomotiv (Moscow) on 7th September, 2012, prior to their visit to Israel for the second group stage game against Eli Guttman’s men.

Kerzhakov will flare up Russia’s attack alongside Spartak Moscow’s Artem Dzyuba and Dynamo Moscow’s Aleksandr Kokorin.

The fact that Fabio Capello, who moved to Russia after replacing d**k Advocaat at the helm, named him among one of the three strikers in the 23-man final roaster ahead of the group stage matches in the tournament, pleases Kerzhakov,
who assured the fans of meeting their expectations.

The former Dynamo Moscow forward is in scintillating form at the moment, having scored six goals in four Russian Premier League matches.

Kerzhakov, who started all three group stage matches at Euro 2012 against Czech Republic, Greece and Poland national team, told the fans that he has rediscovered his goal scoring form after disappointing them at Euros.

“The team is feeling no pressure and preparing for the match as planned. Capello's training process is not much different from what it was before. There is no point in talking about how to play in the upcoming matches and the fans
will see us playing quality football.”

“I have already played with Israel national football team in the qualifying round of Euros before but I have yet to play with the Irish team.” The Russian Cup winner was quoted as saying.

Zenit managed to sign Hulk and Axel Witsel from FC Porto and SL Benfica this month. The St. Petersburg have reportedly paid in excess of 90 million Euros for both the players, signing a four-year deal with each of them.

Kerzhakov has welcomed the new arrivals at Petrovsky stadium, saying that the aforementioned players will give their team a new dimension in attack.
