  1. Ok tell ur friends that u are moving in to ur apartment and u are going to have an apt. warming party! Tell them to bring some drinks(alcohoilc) and u supply some finger food, MUSIC IS A  MUST. And tell them to bring some more ppl with them. U should have some alcohol at the party also!

  2. well of course you are supposed to but then again people are supposed to too and bring gifts. but you just moved into a new apartment. and liqour involved will and all the side effects it brings people will end up trashing etc..so then again think of the after math of throwing a party

  3. Make it really simple since it's your first. Have Pizza, beer and wine. Salad on the side if you'd like.

  4. If you are not smart about it your house warming party could also be your eviction party.

Yes food is good, why not make it pot-luck.

Adding alcohol will add......people being loud and not behaving, just invite people that will listen even if they are druck. Congrats on your place :)

  5. Keep it as simple as possible.

Have only a few drinks as you don't want to get off on the wrong foot with people being noisy and rowdy in your first apt.

Serve cold cuts and crusty buns or breads.

    Veggies and dips.

    Potato or macaroni salad.

    Cake or cookies for dessert.

You get the people there by inviting your friends.Get on the phone and call them or send invites. It's not wise to have those attending bring along people you don't know. I'd play it safe and invite only your closest friends as you know how they behave.

You don't need the landlord after you when you've just moved in.

  6. Make sure all your stuff is off the truck before you open up the bar!

  7. I think it's an excellent idea. Don't listen to those who say you'll get evicted. Alcohol isn't illegal. (nor is bad spelling "druck" LOL!) Finger foods are always a "plus" at a party...baked Brie, ittle cocktail weenies and meatballs (if you want hot foods), chips/pretzels/nuts, veggies and dips are all good finger foods.

PS Can I come to the party? ;)
