I have never used paint.net. ?

I need your help. Is their an online tutorial video that I can watch that can help me understand in simple simple terms how to get started. One of the things I want to do is to touch up photos and I also want to erase the backgrounds of pictures and replace the backgrounds with plain white.

So many of these tutorials assume a certain level of understanding that I do not possess.
