  2. Aw, hon, ok.

Well, Max Factor is usually pretty cheap, covergirl is a little more expensive.

I use clinique a lot, but they are more of a big-name brand, like $15 eyeliner and stuff.

    What I use:

    Almay Liquid Blush- $3

start at the bottom of your cheekbone and work your way up the bone until you get close to your ear. Rub it in so no lines show. This will bring out the color of your face.

Revlon Liquid Eyeliner in brown- $6

With liquid liner you have to be very precice. You put it on you eyelash line, on the top and the bottom of your eyes. DO NOT CORNER THE ENDS. Use your finger to round it out. This will define the shape for your eyes.

    Max Factor Mascara- $4

It comes in a blue bottle, but is brown so no worries ;D

Put this on the TOP LASHES ONLY. Put on three coats. One coat=2 strokes. Make sure you have a head with rubber tips, or you will get clumps and that is ugly. For the bottom, I suggest Maybelline Great Lash Blackest Black. [These lashes are so short that you hardly notice it, but it balances out the top. Only do one stroke] Mascara makes your eyes look bigger and usually rounder.

if you need any more help, just ask ;D

  3. first off, make sure ur face is clean. and then apply foundation first so that ur face looks even. and if u need concealer or coverup make sure it blends well with ur foundation. after using those i think its good to use loose powder. apply it in circular motions with a big rounded brush. curl ur lashes. put brown/ bronze colored eyeshaadow. blend it in well. darker in the bottom and gradually getting lighter as u get to to the top near the brow bone. apply eyeliner on ur "waterline" or nearest to ur lash line. u can also apply to the bottom if u want. then apply a few coats of mascara. make sure it doesnt smudge anywhere. 2 coats on top and 1 on the bottom is okay. and then put blush or something and lip gloss/ lipstick && ur good to go..    :)

    these are my choices:

mascara: YSL everlong, Maybelline lash stylist, Helena Rubinstein lash queen.

foundation: dior sublime, or anessa foundation.

    eyeliner: clinique or revlon eyeliner.

    lipstick/gloss: Givenchy.

    loose powder: Laura Mercier.

    blush: Dior or Laura Mercier.

    eyeshadow: Urban Decay.

  4. these are the basics:

foundation- cover you're whole face to achieve a smooth blemish free look

mascara- apply to eyelashes to make them look longer and thicker

lipgloss/lipstick-apply to the lips to add a touch of colour

    additional products:

concealer- a form of foundation that you use to cover up small blemishes on the face

eyeliner- trace around your eyes to enhance their colour

  8. Trying to accomplish the natural look. Well for staters, it depends on you. Your skin tone, and what you want to apply on your skin. Are you into foundations/powder? If you are not sure which color to purchase, view all shades and place them next to your skin(hand) find one that is basically transparent to your skin tone. You don't want to get anything too dark or too light. Eyeliners(black,, brown,) go with a color but a natural color that suits you, do not apply it too dark, you are defeating the natural purpose. Lip glosses are# 1 in my makeup bag. For a natural look that's basically all you need. Especially for a person who is just starting out applying makeup. You can also get tips from beauty magazines as well.

I started applying makeup gradually....I am kind of a semi-pro now, it just depends on you.

You also have oily skin, use Clean and Clear products to cleanse your face.

  9. hm. if you don't have discoloration then i'd just stay away from foundation completely since there's no need for it. for the shine i'd say go for a powder or oil blotting sheets. but if you do want to wear foundation and you have no dry spots then go for a matte foundation [MAC studio fix is good], it will keep your t-zone at bay. if you do wear foundation you should always put a moisturizer before, aveeno, neutrogena, etc make pretty good quality ones [buy them according to your specific needs]. after you put on your foundation [a brush is best for this] you can add a blush [the brighter the better, they never come out nearly as bright on the skin, and darker ones make skin look muddy, a great one is by Neutragena Healthy Skin Blends] on the apples of your cheek for a natural flushed look then try to 'set' it with either a powder or a facial toner such as MAC's Fix+.

for your eyes i'd just go with mascara Maybelline's Great Lash is really good, doesn't dry out your lashes and has a smaller wand, making it easier to apply. i'd stick without eyeliner for your everyday makeup, but if you do want to use it then go for a pencil over a liquid, because a pencil will give you the natural look [i like NYX's pencil, it's really soft and doesn't smear throughout the day] that you want just apply it on your lash lines and smudge it a little to make it loook more natural.

oh and if you want to 'glow' a bit more than take some bronzer [Physician's Formula is good] is sweep it onto the areas that naturally receive sun [the bridge of your nose, your chin, temples of your forehead and your cheekbones]

p.s. blend your foundation into your neck so you avoid getting that 'mask' look. target makes decent brushes

    (:
