  1. The impact is not immediate.  The longer you have the card the more you will gain in your credit score.  The important thing is to use the card for a few purchase per month and always pay the balance (or at the least pay amount due).  Just having the card does nothing.  Showing you can utilize the card and make payments builds credit.

  2. you can apply for this credit card, http://www.idbaru.com/creditcard . its made for people like you who have no credit history or bad credit. i wouldn't be able to tell you the kind of limit you would be able to get but its guaranteed to be at least 1500 i think. i was able to get a 2500 dollar credit line myself with my horrrrrible credit.

  3. Credit cards are perfect ways to start building credit. I only had credit cards up to this year and my score was 750. I started with a small credit card and then applied for more and more. I have 3 credit cards open right now and one of them is the first one i had with a limit of 500. Never close your credit cards. You can stop using it but don't close it. I find the following site to be very helpful when it comes to credit cards and building credit. They have some great articles as well as credit cards that you can compare and apply online.

  4. my first card with capital one ws 300--then two months later it was 500. ive been using it for a year now and the credit limit hasnt went up any more.  YOu;d prolly only get 200-300 i'd say.

  5. It depends on how you pay your bills.  It would be very low at first even if you paid on time, but it would rise very quickly as you have more credit experience.  It takes about three to five years to build a good credit score.  Everyone has to start at the bottom.

  6. To avoid common mistakes while buiding credit, I recommend this one - http://creditreport.undonet.com - to monitor changes in you score and pre-estimate future scores for different scenarios of payments.
