  1. The only non-licensed jobs would be a ward clerk & a volunteer. Otherwise you would need to be a CNA, RN, etc.  In a doc's office, that is a different story--but you would only really put the kids in rooms, do tests (as a MA).  In the hospital, you would be doing medical care & newborns mostly room with mom.

If you want to work more with kids that are healthy, look into day care, that sort of thing--you get to spend fun time with kids there.  In the hospital it is generally not fun.

  2. It really depends on where you want to work. A hospital? You will more than likely just want to become a nurse. In a pedi office? You could probably look into medical assistant. Remember though, in a hospital setting you are not going to be "playing" with healthy babies. They are in the hospital for a reason.  Good Luck in your decision.

  3. It depends on what you want to do, how much time you're willing to go to school, how much money you want to make, etc.  You could look into daycare positions.  If you want to be involved in pediatric health care, you could look into being a medical assistant or a nurse for a doctor's office environment, or a nurse or CNA (certified nurses' aid) for a hospital.  You could also look into doing respiratory therapy (which normally requires either a 2 or 4 year degree) or physical therapy (which normally requires graduate school) with a pediatric focus and the goal of working in a pediatric setting.
