I have no friends at my new school, help???????

i had the worst day today at school, none of my friends are going to the school im going to. i have like nobody to talk to at school, also i have nobody to sit with at lunch. im also kinda shy, so i always wait for people to talk to me.any advise????

I am in the exact same position! I just transferred to the school in the next town over because I moved last year and I hated the school I was going to. I had my first day today too. No one really talked to me and I just sat with some girl from my math class at lunch. I am hoping that over time, I will meet people. The school itself is way better than my old one so I am just going to give it some time. Once school gets going, I am going to join a few clubs, and that way  I can meet people. There is always a group for new kids, and I don't know why, but they don't meet until the second month of school which is stupid because you need friends before then. But whatever. I am just going to try and talk to kids in class more and participate. Just try to talk to people and smile. Good luck!
