i like the name Camryn...but my mom doesnt, and i dont wanna have my daughter named something that my mom doesnt like...what should i do/...

politely as possible,, ask her what she would had done if her Mom tried to tell her how/what to do in the same situation and if no resolve comes then tell her that it the kid thats going to live the life, and that your "her" mother and it comes down to just that, and unless your Mom is a megalomaniac she will respect you and your family

I don't wanna sound mean but its your child and if you like the name then you should go for what you like.  My mom liked a different middle name than the one I gave my daughter but I still gave her that name because I liked it and I wanted it.  However you really feel strongly about it, how about these names:

I like it, but maybe you could pick a similar name with the same sound that is a little more feminine to please your mother. (Although it is your decision and child, it would be awkward to always know that your mother does not like your daughters name. )  How about
