I'm getting a 1994 honda civic ex, and I'm wondering what to look for in an aftermarket head unit to be able to hookup a sub woofer and amp. Also, I was wondering if the store i bought it from, say circuit city, can be trusted to be able to install it including the amp sub woofer head unit. Lastly, how much would installation cost?

  1. almost all aftermarket head units will get the job done, personally i like kenwwods  but i know circut city do not carry that brand, so you can go with a pioneer i guess you need something that can play mp3s and or have a usb outlet, it should not cost you that much $100 for the head unit. as for installation fees in circut city you are looking at

$60 for the head unit because they need to do rewiring

    $40 for the amp installation

$40- $60 for the wiring kit depending on the power of the subs and amp

and $40-$80 for the sub box depending on what kind

these are the fees for circut city any way i had a full system installed there on my old car

how ever i learned form my mistakes for my new car, i went to a speciallized car audio shop and they run a deals every month. They offer $1 installation if you buy the items form their shop and their deals are greater than any chain stores deals. also their warranty is a lot cheaper, for example i paid $45 for 5 year warranty.

    hope this helps
