I have no idea what kind of make up to wear!

Question

So before I start school i am going to get all new make-up and I am not sure what is "in" when it comes to colors and stuff. I have pale skin, blue/gray eyes, dark eyebrows and lashes and medium brown hair.

Even specific products or brands would help.

I love to check out all the special mini-displays at the drug stores. They always have the latest and coolest colors. Keep in mind that the trendy colors and styles only last about 6 months, so be prepared to switch your style by spring.

Your coloring sounds close to mine. Do you want to look trendy, or your best self? Deep beige, light browns, going yellowy to bronze-ish look beautiful with blue eyes. Enhances those eyelashes with mascara to make your eyes more noticeable. Most experts say if your hair is medium to dark, use black mascara.

Since summer's almost over, how about bronzer instead of blush for the next couple of months?

Lastly, I have noticed super glossy lipgloss is really popular (I think we can credit the Kardashians for that trend). Looks for glosses that call themselves vinyl. They are pretty long lasting and you can use clear or light colors over lipstick, or wear them alone. I like Rimmel for glosses and blush (their nail polish is awful-chips easily).

My fave nail polish is Orly, but it's about $8 a bottle. If you want to test out some fun colors, Sally Hanson's 5 day color (slightly smaller bottled than their other ones) come in crazy colors and have pretty good wear.

I love this time of year because all the new products are on display and still fairly well-stocked. Shop soon though-the best colors always go fast and some products are seasonal and not offered year 'round.
