Okay schools almost here, my pap just got home from having his leg amputated. My mom was thinking of me doing cyber school to help him out. My dad said no, but my mom was going to talk to him about it. Today she changed her mind about me doing cyber school because im a home-body....and it wont be good for me she said. It makes me mad, i dont know what to do?

  1. It's good for you to get out of the house.  And your dad will be okay.  He's a man, and a grown-up.  As hard as it is, if he wants you to go to school then that will ultimately make him happier than if you stayed home.  School doesn't take all day, so you can help when you come home.  And, you're a great kid to want to help like that - I'm sure your parents realize that.

  2. Go to school.

You'll meet heaps of nice people and have a good time, as well as learn stuff that it wouldn't occur to you to try out if you were at home.

Your pap will be okay. He'll learn life without his leg. It's a loss, but he'll adapt. Make going out worthwhile for him, as well. Maybe you can join a team or something at school and he'll love to come and watch you perform and it will help him to recover more quickly.

  3. Go back to school

In a few weeks he won't need much help around the house. Once he is used to using crutches, and once he doesn't need the powerful pain medication he won't need to worry about being home alone.
