I have no ideal how to start Medi-cal insurance?

im 18 have recently moved to california need insurance have a 2 year old son no job live with grandparents and am not eligible to be on there insurance...when i call what will i need and what will i be asking i need? im just so confused never done this sort of thing befor

You can mail it or find a local office to take it in. When you submit your application, it will be processed and if you are over the guidelines for medi-cal, if you are eligible for another program (like Healthy Families) your application will be referred to that agency for processing.

You may also be eligible for WIC (Women, Infants and Children)-they offer services for nutritional needs. Here is a link to that page and the application for it:
