I would just use a mobile phone and a mobile modem for Internet access. Some phones now come with inter-grated modems so that you can just plug them straight into your laptop and surf the net. Other options are sky talk, AOL and broad band. But you need a BT land line for them.

If you want a phone line for internet or just phone, you MUST have a BT landline, regardless if your internet is with TALKTALK or whoever.

If you go cable, you can use virgin.

Otherwise you will have to use a mobile.

Whats wrong with BT (don't answer that), we are all having to pay the line rental costs.

I use BT as my internet provider, not the best, not the cheapest, but its alot easier than dealing with loads more companies.  Even if i do have to spend 2 hours on the phone to Rasheem in India because he doesn't believe me that the equipment is faulty!

I have Cable which is brilliant. This also gives me TV and internet. You can also get cable for your mob. all for £40 per month if paid by DD. You can also up grade the tv for other programmes............

virgin media cable if your in an area they cover apart from that it all needs a bt line.
