I have no more photos in my camera. Problem is.. HOW?

Question

When I was transferring my photos from my camera to my computer, my computer accidentally slept by itself because of lack of battery so when I recharged it, I found no pictures in the camera (and I didn't save any in the comp cus I thought something would happen)

I don't know how it got lost. Plus, can someone tell me how to get my photos back? They're photos from Paris :(

Try photo recovery software, like this one:

There's others out there too.  Most will let you use a free trial to see what, if anything, could be recovered.  If it shows you your photos, you then can buy it and recover what's shown. In other words, there's no risk to try before you buy.
