  1. just show up at a parking lot where bikes are getting together and strike up a conversation with the coolest person that accepts you as an addition to their pack. You'd be surprised on how reseptive groups can be. I always welcome new guys to come along and join the fun.

  2. Go to your local motorcycle shop and ask around about group rides, but I think you are talking about motorcycles. That should be asked in a forum about motorcycles, not bicycles, you'll probably get a better response there.

Keep it in the big ring.

  3. Find a local sport club, use google earth that should help with directions.

  4. Go to your local bike shop and hang our with some of the people who work there and pretty soon you'll have people to ride with, that's what me and my mate did but unintentionally

  5. On Yahoo go to groups and do a search on cycling and Chicago.  There are lots of bikers out there who love to ride I am sure you can find at least one.

  6. I'm sure there is a bike club in chicago, see if you can find it and then there should be some people in there that are willing to ride with you.
