The Dynamo Moscow manager insists that there has been no conflict between him and the striker and urged his side to win the remaining Russian Premier League matches.
Dynamo Moscow’s head coach, Sergei Silkin, has insisted that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andriy-Voronin-c6020 has never had a problem with him. Silkin revealed that he enjoys a decent relationship with the entire squad and that there are no personal grudges between
him and Voronin.
Silkin outraged the Dinamiki fans after benching the star striker during the Russian Cup quarter final against Zenit St. Petersburg. Voronin, Dynamo’s captain, remained on the bench as an unused substitute for the entire ninety
minutes.
Reports in Russia had suggested that Voronin is set to leave the Moscow-based club during the upcoming summer transfer window after falling out with the head coach over lack of playing time.
However, Silkin has now thrown a lifeline to the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 man by providing the reasons behind making the controversial decision at Petrovsky stadium.
While answering the question as to why he excluded the Ukrainian Cup winner from the starting eleven against the St. Petersburg club, Silkin revealed that it was a tactical decision and he wanted the Musora to play defensively.
“Everyone is talking about a conflict between me and Voronin. I am tired of hearing all this. There is no conflict! I respect Voronin but sometimes a coach has to make very difficult decisions.” The former FC Spartak Shchyolkovo
player was quoted as saying.
Silkin revealed that he benched Voronin because the former Bayer Leverkusen player failed to impress during their 5-1 Russian Premier League defeat against Zenit at Arena Khimki. Silkin revealed that he is not the reason behind
the Ukrainian striker’s poor form.
The former Dinamo Minsk player went on to reveal that Voronin remains very much in his plans but it’s his decision when to call him on the pitch. Silkin told the fans to be patient, telling them that the White-blues are not a one-man
team.
The fact that Dynamo managed to win their latest league tie 1-0 against CSKA Moscow pleases Silkin, who urged his side to win the remaining matches of the season.
