The sporting director of the Bavarian giants revealed that he enjoys a good partnership with the FC Hollywood head coach, and suggested that he is wrongly criticised over his role at the German club.
Bayern Munich new sporting director Matthias Sammer insisted that he maintains a strong relationship with the team manager, and expressed his frustration towards the people who want to create havoc in the organisation. He admitted
that the coach demands complete trust from him and said Heynckes will have no trouble from him.
"Sometimes, people try to damage our relationship. I know that Jupp Heynckes expects total loyalty from me. Of this he can be sure," he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The former Real Madrid and Athletic Bilbao trainer is contracted for one more season with the Bavarian giants, which is set to end in May, and Heynckes has hinted that this might be his last spell with Die Roten side.
On the other hand, the executive board member confirmed that they are looking at other alternatives for the Bayern manager’s replacement for the next campaign, as they need to be ready for the future of the club.
Moreover, the 45-year-old added that he cannot predict that who will be in charge of the team after the current season and stressed that he discusses things not only for the near future but also after it with the veteran coach.

"Why should we determine now what will happen at the season's end? I talk to him about things beyond 2013, after 2014. The day of decision comes. And it is Jupp Heynckes' decision," he continued.
"Of course, it may not happen to us, that we eventually stand surprised and unprepared. Therefore we monitor [coaches] and start thinking, as with players also,” he finally concluded.
Sammer conceded that the club is always looking to improve the squad by focusing on the players and the coaches. He also claimed that the trainer will help them with the next appointment if the situation arises.
