I have no sound on the computer! plz help! 10 points best answer!?

listen my speakers give voice when i l**k u know it has sound but thats about it plz help me figure out wats wrong with my computer sound i've done all i can !! plz i need ur help plz no foolish answers! remember:10 points best answer!

the plug in the back isnt all the way in

umm..it might be the sound card..but before you do that get some new speakers and see if they work..if not get a proffesional to check out the sound card.

if the green plug that connects your computer to your speakers is out or loose. that would be why you don't have sound.

Well, I am assuming that you have Windows XP.

On the bottom right hand side of the computer screen, you will see a speaker icon. Double left click on it & a Speaker window will populate. Make sure that "Mute" is not tick.

If the speaker Icon isn't there, Go to Run, then type devmgmt.msc & hit enter.

A Device manager window will populate.

Look for sound, video & game controller. Click on the + (plus) sign  & it will show u the drivers.

If there is a yellow ! or ? mark, the drivers are corrupted & needs to be reinstalled.

And, there could be various other reason as well. We need to narrow down & localise the issue. Check these things & revert back in case of any issue.
