  1. I think this is an excellent question. I'm off for the summer too and going crazy already. This is probably base and typical but I would come up with a loose daily schedule to fill the time that's normally taken up with school. Reading, exercise, and a little video gaming can keep your mind sharp. I picked up an odd hobby and decided to sew a quilt actually. Maybe boring, but hey, it passes the time and is constructive.

  2. Try to do some kind of volunteer work.  It will look good on your college application later on.

Go to http://www.volunteermatch.org and type in your zipcode.

  3. i know this is corny, but are there any volunteer opportunities you could get involved in?  or any summer camps you could either do or help as a counselor?  or you could try to learn something new, like last winter I taught myself how to crochet....make something, start writing or painting, go to the pool, read books....if you want money, you could make something to sell or offer to walk dogs or cut grass or so many things....you need to get creative!  hopefully you find something.  Good luck!

  4. Where have you always wanted to travel to?

    __________ ? Exactly!

    You're on holidays there now!

    Why not learn their language.

    Learn their customs.

    Cook their foods.

    Read books from their authors.

Listen to music from their famous artists.

Visit places on the net that you could go to as a tourist.

Find a pen pal in that country (check out postcrossings.com)

If that doesn't grab you, why not try out 43 things!
