I have no sunlight, but want a bonsai tree? What is a good species?

I live in a basement apartment with very small windows, but nowhere I could put a bonsai tree. I've always wanted one and want to keep it near my computer/home office area to spice it up a bit. Is there any particular tree that will do semi-well with little sunlight? I have some fluorescent lights down here, but that's about it. Any recommendations?

  1. A bonsai is just a normal tree, which is kept smaller,  You realize this I think.  ALL trees and plants need some light. There is one way I think you may be able to do this, but it might end up costly.  You can buy special lights, grow lights, which is like a fluroescent but a different bulb in it which gives the right light to the plant.  Ask at a lighting specialist.

Sorry thats the only thing I can think off.

Any plant that can live in lower light will be fine and just be certain you get an indoor plant if that's where you'll be keeping it.
